Hi there!

Welcome to Truth or Consequences Brewing Company, where the beer can be as unexpected as the town.

Map of New Mexico and Truth or Consequences location

Ales or Lagers? Light or dark? Easy-drinking or experimental? Floral or fruity? Belgian or Bock?

These are the big questions. What will you find here?

Big Questions require Great Beer.

What's Pourin'?

Gunslinger Gold

A high-alcohol, pale, highly-carbonated beer fermented with a Belgian strain of brewer’s yeast. Brewed with barley, wheat, rye, and oats.

ABV: 9.5%
IBU: 28
Available: On Tap, Growler

Irish Red

To help celebrate Saint Patrick’s Day, we brewed this Irish Red Ale, a style known for its easy drinkability and smooth caramel notes.  Hops are scarce in this beer, allowing the imported Irish malt to shine.

ABV: 5.3%
IBU: 20
Available: On Tap, Growler

Nana's Delight

Nana’s Delight is a Double IPA, an IPA variant known for its higher alcohol content (7.5-10%) and prominent American hops. The flavor and aroma are hop-driven, and you’ll detect a variety of citrus, floral, and tropical fruit. This is the first batch of beer we’ve brewed that used more than 1,000 lbs of barley, and that’s reflected in the 8.7% ABV.

ABV: 8.7%
IBU: 76
Available: On Tap, Growler

Big River India Brown Ale

Big River is an India Brown Ale, with the color and malt flavors of an American Brown Ale, and the hop profile of an IPA.  Some say it’s the best of both worlds – the body and hops of an IPA, complemented by the balanced chocolate richness of browns and porters.

ABV: 7.5%
IBU: 69
Available: On Tap, Growler

Organic Crystal Ale

Light and refreshing, this British Golden Ale was produced with certified organic pale malt from England, and certified organic Azacca hops. British ale yeast contributes a hint of baking bread to the aroma, and the finishing hops evoke pineapple, guava, and other tropical fruits.

Southern New Mexico is geologically fascinating, with wide-ranging and rich deposits of fossils, fluorite, quartz, agate, carnelian, and amethyst.  Collectors often seek crystals for their beauty, and some believe that crystals have metaphysical properties that contribute to health and spiritual well-being.   We immersed a four pound crystal in the kettle while making this beer. Were any of its metaphysical properties conferred upon the beer?  Have a taste and let us know what you think.

ABV: 4.4%
IBU: 28
Available: On Tap, Growler

Fireside Tripel

A Belgian Tripel is a strong pale ale brewed with Belgian yeast, which can add flavors of banana, clove, and pepper. The style gets its name from its higher alcoholic strength. Some say that its original brewers used triple the ingredients of their basic ale, or that their pale ale came in three versions, 3%, 6%, and 9% ABV. Sucrose (cane sugar) is often added to this style, to lighten body and increase alcohol – we used about 6% sugar and 94% malted barley. German noble hops balance the sweetness, resulting in a strong, warming elixir with plenty of fruity esters and not too sweet.

ABV: 11%
IBU: 25
Available: On Tap (goblet only), Growler

Honey Winter Ale

Winter Seasonals are traditionally full-bodied, warming, dark ales, often with specialty fermentables (such as maple syrup, honey, or molasses) and spices associated with the holiday season (like cinnamon, ginger, evergreen). We opted to use five gallons of Rio Grande Valley honey as both a fermentable and a flavoring component, and its warm floral sweetness really comes through in this strong dark ale.

ABV: 9.2%
IBU: 24
Available: On Tap, Growler

Airstream Ultra

This is our lightest-bodied, lightest-colored beer. At barely 130 calories per pint, Airstream Ultra won't slow or weigh you down. Refreshing, thirst-quenching, and just $3 a pint.

ABV: 3.7%
IBU: 9
Available: On Tap, Growler

Cosmic Blonde

A light-bodied, straw-colored ale. Delicious and thirst-quenching. This was the first brew, and  has become our flagship beer.

ABV: 5.6%
IBU: 15
Available: On Tap, Growler
Logo Torc Circle Grey

Buckhorn IPA

Our first India Pale Ale, this is a rich-bodied beer bursting with citrusy hop flavor but without the powerful hop bitterness commonly associated with the style.

ABV: 6.6%
Available: On Tap, Growler

Palomas Porter

Palomas Porter is a rich, silky American Porter, based on an award-winning recipe created by our brewer and co-owner John Masterson. Hints of chocolate, coffee, and raisin are balanced by a smattering of Cascade hops aroma.

6.3% ABV
29 IBU
Available: On Tap, Growler

Dark Skies Oatmeal Stout

Deep black in color with rich coffee-and-cream flavors.  We included flaked oats in the recipe, which adds a smooth, velvety mouthfeel.

6.0% ABV
28 IBU
Available: On Tap, Growler

Rye Pale Ale

A strong Pale Ale with citrus-scented hops and some spiciness from malted rye.

37 IBU
6.7% ABV

Albuquerque’s own Reverb Roadkill takes the stage using their misguided musical powers to distill the high desert experience into a churning tidal wave of surf tinged psychedelic cowpunk. If George Jones was brought back from the grave and forced to make records with The Gun Club, it might sound a bit like Reverb Roadkill.

Michael Batdorf

Michael Batdorf is doing his 5TH annual SOUTHWEST SONGWRITER TOUR. A true “chameleon of song”, Michael blends genres and creates something uniquely his own.

Few songwriters can say they have had a $1.5 million showroom built for their music. Michael’s Wyoming based band has packed the house every Tuesday night in Jackson Hole’s Historic Silver Dollar Bar for over 10 years and the owners enthusiastically accommodated the demand. Fewer songwriters can say they have dedicated 15 years of their life to serving AT-RISK YOUTH in a Wilderness Therapeutic Program. Mix this all in with the landscape of Wyoming’s western Mountains and you get a snapshot of Michael’s unique muse.
